Who can enter?

The awards are open to all full-time and part-time students studying at a Scottish Higher or Further Education establishment.

What is the deadline for entries?

Entry deadline is Tuesday, March 17, 2026.

How much does it cost?

It is free to enter. Those shortlisted will also receive one complimentary ticket to attend the awards presentation.

Additional tickets to attend can be purchased at a cost of £15.00 each

How does the judging process work?

The judging process will involve entries being submitted to a panel of experts who will decide on the shortlist and winners for 2026. The judges’ decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered, or feedback provided.

Once your entry has been received it will be put forward to our judging panel.

When will the shortlist be announced?

The shortlist will be listed in The Herald mid April.

When will the winners be announced?

The winners will be announced at the awards presentation taking place on Thursday, May 14 at The Herald, Glasgow. More information on the event can be found in the ‘Event’ section above.
