THERE’S just over a week left to get your nominations in for this year’s Dunfermline Press Community Champion Awards 2025 in association with Vertu.
It’s your chance to highlight and celebrate our local heroes by putting them forward for this year’s awards, which recognise the best of West and Central Fife.
Last year’s event was held in Dunfermline’s Glen Pavilion and around 250 people attended.
Winners included Highland Dance teacher Natalie McLauchlan as champion teacher of the year, Little Shop of Heroes for the entrepreneurial award, Diamond Disco for the health and care award, while Lesley-Ann Chessor, and the late Hanniffia McGrath, won the heart of gold award.

The categories for this year’s event are; Entrepreneurial Award, Champion Teacher of the Year, Community Champion of the Year, Heart of Gold, Charity Champion of the Year, Sporting Champion of the Year, Young Enterprise Champion, Youth Community Champion, Little Champion, Live Music Award, and the Health & Care Award.

Finalists will be announced in May, and the awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 12, at the Glen Pavilion in Pittencrieff Park.
