We organise 30 leading industry events per year ranging from Business Breakfasts and Conferences to Award Ceremonies. We also offer our event management services to create bespoke creative solutions tailored to your business needs.

Nina Holmes

Head of Events

Having worked in events for over a decade, the best part of the job is that no two events are every truly the same. The breadth of clients and businesses we work with keep us engaged and up to date with a variety of sectors.

Our portfolio of events cover Awards, Conferences, Business Breakfasts and also our bespoke event management service. Taking a client’s initial idea and creating a full marketing and event campaign bespoke to them is always an exciting part of the role.

Personally, on the weekend you will find me on the family farm, in our 1991 John Deere helping shift hardwood logs or chasing around our two toddlers in very muddy welly boots – a big change from the black-tie dinners during the week!

I manage a range of multiple different events and absolutely love my job and the challenges that come with it whilst managing client relationships and working with many different businesses.

My career in events management has allowed me to plan and manage many different types of events globally.

In my spare time I’m usually exploring the north of Scotland and it’s mountains or socialising with friends over a gin.

Events Manager

I have worked in events roles for 14 years, spanning UK wide training programmes, medical conferences, weddings and corporate events. These varied and challenging roles have given me experience and insight in a broad range of markets which I bring to our diverse Newsquest events calendar.

Working in 5* hotels and for high profile clients I also know the importance and joy of looking after clients to the highest degree.

In my spare time I may be found running or enjoying a good glass of wine – life is about balance!

Events Manager

I have almost 10 years’ experience within the events industry with a variety of positions undertaken. These range from large scale sporting events, climate conferences, housing conferences, charity events and working with well-respected Royal Societies in both Edinburgh and London on a variety of public engagement and fellowship events.

My breadth of experience has allowed me to gain a vast network of connections within these different event industries and work together in my different capacities to share knowledge and create exciting and informative events.

I hope to help with the growth of Newsquest Events with the knowledge and experience I’ve gained.
