Anticipation is growing as nominations continue to roll in for the prestigious Scottish Agriculture Awards 2023 in partnership with AgriScot, the Royal Highland & Agricultural Society of Scotland and The Scottish Farmer.
The Scottish Agriculture Awards, in association with AgriScot, RHASS and The Scottish Farmer promises to be an amazing celebration of all that is good in Scottish agriculture and recognise those who work so hard to make it the fantastic industry that it is.
The glittering ceremony will be held in the Crown Plaza Hotel, near the SECC in Glasgow on October 26.
Nominations are open until August 17 and this week we are highlighting two categories that are certain to be hotly contested.
Sheep Farm of the Year sponsored by Thorntons and partnered with QMS

Kenneth Mackay, Thorntons Partner and Head of Land and Rural Business, said: “The agriculture sector in Scotland is one to be proud of. We’ve supported the Sheep Farm of the Year Award since 2014 and are always impressed by farmers’ ingenuity in building resilient, sustainable and profitable operations.
“We look forward to recognising the achievements of more agriculture businesses for the 2023 awards.”
Diversified Farm of the Year sponsored by SAC Consulting
There is a huge range of innovative and exciting diversification going on right across Scotland. Tell us about why you think your work has the winning formula.
Fiona Simpson, Marketing and Communications Manager, SAC said: “The Diversified Farm Of The Year award shines a light on how farm businesses all over Scotland have innovated creatively using their existing businesses assets, their often unique and stunning locations, and their next generation’s skills and interests to best effect to drive alternative and added value income streams on farm.
“This approach leads to resilient businesses, offers professional employment opportunities for succession on family farms, and can connect the family farm, and the good story it has to tell, with the consumer.
“SAC Consulting is wholeheartedly aligned with these aspirations for the industry, and this award is our way of supporting that vision.”
