WITH rich diversity within its population, Scotland brings out the best of people, and none more so than our musicians, actors, visual artists, dancers and writers who continue to achieve international success.

That is why The Herald is delighted to reward the great people and their achievements with our Scottish Culture Awards 2019 – which cross all genres and celebrate all that’s great in our vibrant cultural scene.

The Herald Scottish Culture Awards – sponsored by Edinburgh Napier University, EventScotland, part of VisitScotland’s events directorate, Cameron, MGA Management, Theatre School of Scotland and Rotunda Comedy Club – will take place this Thursday at the Edinburgh Corn Exchange.

The winners will be revealed at the glittering ceremony hosted by Bryan Burnett.
