The opportunity to be recognised as one of the best digital companies in the country is still available but the entry deadline for The Herald’s Scottish Digital Business Awards is looming.
There are just a few weeks left to enter to make an entry, via http://herald-events.com/digitalawards, and they must be in by September 3.
Screenmedia was named best digital agency at the 2014 ceremony and director Kenny Shaw said it had provided a boost to the Glasgow company.
He said: “The atmosphere in the studio following the awards night was that of shock and pure elation. It means so much to us that the efforts we put into our solutions, client service and innovation is not only recognised but commended within the industry.”
Backers of the awards also urged companies and organisations of all sizes to get their entries in.
Chris Yiu, digital director at SCVO, which is sponsoring the new charity and social enterprise award, said: “Charities are a vibrant part of Scottish society, and the opportunity for them to do great things with digital is vast. Entering the awards is about more than prestige – it’s also about inspiring others to follow your lead and use digital for social good.”
Eileen McLaren, director of development at FanDuel, which is backing the student award, said: “The calibre of students graduating from Scottish universities is amongst the best in the UK and we feel passionate about offering these graduates the opportunity to join our growing organisation and nurture their careers. The need for talent in digital industries is increasing every year, so the number and quality of students who will work in these industries is increasingly important.”
Brian Williamson, of Jumpstart, said: “We encourage companies to take this opportunity to exhibit the successes they have achieved in seizing the commercial prospects offered by digital technology and the Internet.”
