Dunfermline Press Community Champion Awards 2025 to be held next week

There’s now just one week to go until this year’s Dunfermline Press and Central Fife Times Community Champion Awards in association with Vertu.

The event is a chance to celebrate the area’s unsung heroes, and is delivered in partnership with Vertu. It will kick off at 6.30pm on Thursday, June 12 at the city’s Glen Pavilion.

Tickets are available online, and the price includes a three-course meal, entertainment from local talent, and the awards ceremony.

A panel of judges recently gathered for the difficult task of drawing up a shortlist for each award category from a record number of nominations sent in from across the West and Central Fife areas.

Host Mark Martin will keep things running smoothly on the night, with over two decades of experience working in local radio.

He told the Press: “It’s amazing to hear people’s stories. It’s really important to recognise these things in person, because things can get lost these days.

“It’s nice to bring a bit of sparkle and shine into people’s life, and give these people their moment in the spotlight.”
