Having worked in events for over a decade, the best part of the job is that no two events are every truly the same. The breadth of clients and businesses we work with keep us engaged and up to date with a variety of sectors.
Taking a client’s initial idea and creating a full marketing and event campaign bespoke to them is always an exciting part of the role.
Personally, on the weekend you will find me on the family farm, in our 2001 John Deere helping shift hardwood logs or chasing around our two toddlers in very muddy welly boots – a big change from the black-tie dinners during the week!
I have worked in events roles for 14 years, spanning UK wide training programmes, medical conferences, weddings and corporate events. These varied and challenging roles have given me experience and insight in a broad range of markets which I bring to our diverse Newsquest events calendar.
Working in 5* hotels and for high profile clients I also know the importance and joy of looking after clients to the highest degree.
In my spare time I may be found running or enjoying a good glass of wine – life is about balance!
I have almost 10 years’ experience within the events industry with a variety of positions undertaken. These range from large scale sporting events, climate conferences, housing conferences, charity events and working with well-respected Royal Societies in both Edinburgh and London on a variety of public engagement and fellowship events.
My breadth of experience has allowed me to gain a vast network of connections within these different event industries and work together in my different capacities to share knowledge and create exciting and informative events.
I hope to help with the growth of Newsquest Events with the knowledge and experience I’ve gained.
With over six years of experience in the events industry, I began my career with one of the UK’s largest car dealerships, where I managed a variety of events ranging from large-scale awards ceremonies to conferences and new product launches. In April 2024, I was thrilled to join the talented team at Newsquest Events.
What I love most about the events industry is its dynamic nature, no two events are ever the same. That energy and excitement are what make this line of work so rewarding. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with a diverse array of clients and suppliers, transforming creative concepts into unforgettable experiences.
Outside of work, you’ll often find me jetting off to chase the sun!
