The Chancellor of the Exchequer will present the 2014 budget on Wednesday, March 18 when the Government’s plans for taxation, benefits, spending and forecasts for the economy will be set out. Against a testing economic background, the challenge is to continue to raise revenue and at the same time provide a tax environment in which businesses can flourish.
