Senior Manager, Policy Development – Pensions, Investments and Workplace, Scottish Widows

Angela has worked for Scottish Widows for 33 years, holding various roles, mainly involving retirement planning either for individuals or through workplace employer pension schemes.  After becoming an expert in the more technical aspects of pensions a passion developed for exploring ways to simplify the way the Financial Services industry talks to customers including spending a number of years looking at how to engage people with their pensions.  She currently represents Scottish Widows looking at future pensions policy developments.  Out of work dog walking, travelling and spending time unsuccessfully trying to master hitting a golf ball take up most of her time.

Anne Willmott
Age at Work Director at Business in the Community

Anne is Age at Work Director at Business in the Community. The Age at Work campaign works with companies to help them to retain, retrain and recruit older workers. Its business leadership team chaired by Andy Briggs, Aviva, is the Government’s Business Champion on Older Workers.

Prior to joining the Age at Work campaign in January she spent 10 years leading BITCs Employment for Excluded Groups campaigns which help people overcoming disadvantages such as homelessness by increasing their access to good quality and sustainable employment. She also undertook a part-time fellowship at Big Society Capital to develop and engage corporate support in the first £15m Business Impact Challenge – developed to catalyse social impact investment approaches within the corporate sector.

Before joining Business in the Community (BITC) she spent 15 years at Boots where she held a variety of commercial roles specializing in Supply Chain and Operations management.

She holds a MA (Hons) in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and an MBA.

Craig Vickery FCCA CA
Head of ACCA Scotland

Craig became Head of ACCA Scotland in April 2010 responsible for implementing ACCA strategy in Scotland, raising ACCA’s profile with the media, government, industry decision makers and the wider business community.

Craig trained with Coopers & Lybrand (now part of PricewaterhouseCoopers) qualifying in 1994. After 7 years in practice he moved to ACCA in 1997, taking on responsibility for developing ACCA’s employer market and relationships in Scotland.

Craig is a passionate advocate for access to the profession and serves as an advisory board member for the Centre for Work Based Learning and the Scottish Apprenticeship Advisory Board – Frameworks and Standards Group.

Craig has held a number of roles within ACCA and has experience of working in Cyprus, South Africa, Botswana, Pakistan, Malta and Greece.
