CELEBRATING their 130th anniversary, The Scottish Farmer, AgriScot and the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS) are excited to proudly announce the launch of the Scottish Agricultural Awards. The event will take place at the Crowne Plaza in Glasgow on October 26, 2023.

The Scottish Agricultural Awards are set to be a prestigious celebration of the best in Scottish agriculture, recognizing excellence and innovation across a range of categories. The awards aim to showcase the outstanding work of farmers, agricultural individuals, and businesses who are driving the industry forward and ensuring the sustainability and success of Scottish agriculture.

“These awards will provide a platform to showcase the very best of Scottish agriculture, and we look forward to welcoming entries from across the country.”

AgriScot chairman, Robert Neil, added: “Our farm businesses awards were launched to complement AgriScot, as the premier farm business event in the UK. We have met some outstanding applicants, who are driving our sector forward and ensuring that farm businesses remain profitable for the future, whilst also protecting and preserving our land, environment, and people.

“Over the last year we have been reviewing the awards, to see if we could offer a more formal awards ceremony, raising the profile of the winners further. We felt it was a perfect opportunity to partner with The Scottish Farmer and RHASS, and collectively do all we can to celebrate and inspire our industry.”

RHASS, a leading organization dedicated to the promotion of rural and agricultural activities in Scotland, is proud to be the headline sponsor of the inaugural Awards. RHASS CEO, Alan Laidlaw, said: “The Scottish Agriculture Awards are exactly the recognition that our sector needs and deserves, it will bring accolade, celebration, and valuable opportunities for the winners to celebrate our success. We are pleased to be creating these awards with The Scottish Farmer and AgriScot and look forward to seeing the brilliant efforts of entrants that are leading the way across rural Scotland.”
