THE finalists for The Herald Scottish Digital Business Awards 2017 in association with DigitalBoost have been announced, with judges declaring they were overwhelmed with the calibre of entrants.
For the past eight years, these awards have recognised organisations and agencies who have successfully developed their business and client base through the use of digital technology.
This year will see Equator, Screenmedia, Storm ID and xDesign battle it out for the coveted Digital Agency award. In total, 11 category winners will be announced on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow.
The Herald is delighted to be working with DigitalBoost, Business Gateway, Enigma People Solutions, SQA, Prudential, RDM and s1jobs to continue to celebrate the tremendous talent in Scotland.
Hugh Lightbody, chief officer at the Business Gateway National Unit, said: “Over the past few years The Business Gateway delivered DigitalBoost programme has helped increasing numbers of businesses across Scotland improve their digital skills and knowledge, and it is great to see this growing focus on digital technology reflected in the quality of the businesses entering the Herald Digital Business Awards.
“The awards programme continues to go from strength to strength with the high calibre of the 2017 finalists reinforcing the importance of digital technology to the growth of Scotland’s economy. It is shaping up to be a fantastic competition and our congratulations go to all the finalists.”
David Mains, director, Enigma People Solutions said: “A big congratulations to all the finalists in the Digital Agency category. Once again, this year’s entrants have showcased the exceptional talent across digital agencies in Scotland and as ever, we have been impressed by the standard of entries. Every one of our finalists is already a winner and we look forward to seeing you all in October!”
Daniel Sedgwick, head of digital proposition development, Prudential said: “A huge congratulations to the finalists in the Digital Professional Category. It is great to see so many talented digital professionals in Scotland, truly driving digital forwards – anyone would be proud to have any one of the finalists on their team.”
Gavin Maxwell, managing director, RMD, said: “We are truly delighted to sponsor the Public Sector Award at The Herald Digital Business Awards 2017. We believe this is a fantastic way to celebrate and reward the success of public sector organisations.”
