Edinburgh firm MFMac announces series of promotions

A major Edinburgh-based law firm has announced a raft of promotions.

MF Mac, formerly known as Morton Fraser MacRoberts, has promoted 14 colleagues across the firm, and include new legal directors, senior solicitors, senior associates, paralegals and associates.

Formed by the merger of Morton Fraser and MacRoberts in September 2023, MFMac said the moves strengthen senior capability within the form and support the delivery of high-quality advice to clients across key sectors. The promotions span practice areas such as construction and projects, corporate and commercial, and litigation and real estate.

Kamal Panglea, chief people officer at MFMac, said: “These promotions reflect the strength of talent across MFMac, and we are proud to recognise the significant contributions our people make to the firm’s success.

“Investing in our people is central to our strategy. By creating opportunities for colleagues to build long-term careers at MFMac, we’re able to provide clients with continuity, trusted relationships and advisers who understand their businesses and ambitions.”

The firm’s new legal partners are Caroline Earnshaw (construction and projects) and Meghan Jenkins (litigation). Rising to senior solicitor are Lauren McLaughlin, Tay Montgomery, Sophia Thom, Dana Strain, Ellen Grant, and Kirsty McArthur. Promoted to paralegal are Callum Oliver and Sukh Kaur, with Megan McNairn becoming senior paralegal. Meanwhile, Nicola Kelly has been promoted to senior associate, and Joshua Gray and Ryan Mitchell have become associates.
