THE deadline for entries for the prestigious Scottish Digital Business Awards, held by The Herald in association with DigitalBoost, is fast approaching.
Now in their tenth year the awards, which are supported by Business Gateway, Engage Recruitment and SQA, celebrate the success of Scottish businesses large and small in seizing the opportunities offered by digital technology and the internet.

And there is still time to enter, with the deadline for this year’s contest falling on Tuesday August 14.

The awards ceremony itself takes place on Wednesday October 10 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow.
This year entries are being sought for 11 award categories, with firms invited to demonstrate excellence in digital campaigns across a range of disciplines, from social media to e-commerce.

The categories include the E-Commerce Award, sponsored by Business Gateway, the Education & Training Award, sponsored by SQA, and the Digital Agency Award, sponsored by Engage Recruitment.

Hugh Lightbody, chief officer at the Business Gateway National Unit, said: “The quality of the companies entering The Herald Scottish Digital Business Awards remains extremely high, which is a reflection on the importance this growing sector places on them.
“DigitalBoost’s sponsorship recognises the awards as a platform for Scotland’s digital business community to showcase the work they are doing and its value to industry. I would encourage every business operating in this exciting sector to enter.”
