BUSINESSES and individuals that are leading the way towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals have just over a week left to put themselves forward for The Herald’s Global Game Changers Awards 2018.

Run in association with Innovators Magazine and supported by Circular Glasgow, Centre for Work-based Learning, ScottishPower, City of Glasgow College, BAE Systems and Bayer Foundations, the awards recognise and reward innovation and sustainability across all sectors.

Barry Carruthers of ScottishPower said: “It’s an incredibly exciting time when you look at the amount of innovation in the sustainability space – these awards look to recognise the leaders and so will showpiece the best people and projects across the sector.”

Alison McRae of Glasgow Chamber of Commerce added: “With Scotland being selected as host nation for this year’s Circular Economy Hotspot Scotland – a major international event and trade mission – there’s no better time to showcase your business’s progressive approach to developing initiatives that embody the circular economy.”

Douglas Morrison, STEM and Innovation Lead at City of Glasgow College added: “The Global Game Changer Award for intrapreneurship recognises the outstanding work of change makers driving inclusive growth within their companies.

“At City of Glasgow College we are delighted to support this award and seek to encourage entries from those who have embraced the intrapreneurial spirit.”
